What happened to my energy?

Tired with no energy so haven't been doing much.  My eye seems to be getting better after adding the other drops.  Been zentangling, getting ready for a swap

Shoveling snow and ice is exercise.....right?

Sunday we had a blizzard in the morning and by late afternoon it was freezing rain.  At the end of the driveway were 2 days of snow and ice piled up from the snowplows that finally made it to our cul-de-sac.  Snow blower doesn't work with ice, hubby is in therapy for his back, the son in town had plans.  If you don't have a path cleared to your mailbox  the mail carriers don't have to deliver your mail.  Our mailbox is on the front of the house.   I'm expecting an art journal page from a swap with a girl across the state so I went out and tried to chop up ice, shovel ice chunks and, throw it beyond the space I had to clear.  I didn't always make it.  Took me all morning to get a path cleared and part of the end of the driveway and still had a lot more to do.  My back was hurting, I was huffing and puffing and had to keep leaning on the shovel or the ice chopper thingy I was using.  All I could think of was I had fulfilled my exercise for the entire week, possibly into next week.  Fortunately my son brought my grandson over and in a very short time had it all chopped, cleared and even moved one of the downed tree limbs (which I had tried to move but couldn't get it to budge).   Still waiting for the mail to be delivered and there is a possibility that it won't be, because of the roads but at least I got my exercise done for the month.

Flower on the brain.....

A little over a year ago my health took a nose dive and my recovery was very slow.  While tethered to an oxygen tank I started drawing/doodling/painting flowers, daisies and hibiscus the most because they're my favorite.  When tired of d/d/p f I searched youtube where I stumbled upon art journaling, then altered art journaling.  If I had been able to breathe I would not have found the videos on art/altered art journaling.  I watched for over a month before I got up the courage to try it.  For my first altered art journal I used the book Petals On The Wind by VC Andrews.  When I found it I knew it was going to be nothing but flowers.  I finished it a couple of weeks ago and started on Flowers In The Attic, the beginning of the 2 book series and, again, it will be nothing but flowers.   I'm obsessed with flowers.......

Art Journaling for a 4 yr old

I recently introduced a 4 yr old to the joys of Art Journaling.  Tried doing a journal page using only what someone of that age would have access to and, keeping it simple enough that they would understand.  It was harder than I thought it would be.  I had to stop and think at every step which made for a longer time in doing the art journal page.  Also took pics of each process.  Sometimes pics speak louder than words.

Captain of Your Own Art!

Take charge of your art.

Like what you do.......  Don't compare your art to others..... I know,  Easier said than done.

We are all unique creatures in different levels with a wide variety  of creative art.  Our individual 'artistic spaces' make this world an enjoyable place to live in...no matter where we are.

I am in a continuous state of learning art.....I will never be bored.
